My goal is to increase traffic on our site and get more shoppers there since we wouldn’t have to pay as much in fees that we acquire through Amazon and eBay. I would like help on SEO and back links to increase the traffic and I hope that by join this site, it will happen. I just started using our Word Press again in hopes to help with getting more content into the search engines.
I am open to all suggestions from you all from web design and anything else relevant to my goals.
im an advertising affilate of google adsense. I need to make my site popular. i have added my site to google, yahoo, netscape search n all thhe top 20 search engines. yet, theres no traffic over these 6 months. i have added all the necessary keyword meta tag. i hv tried many seo services, which offr free services. nothin happened. i tried 2 advertise even on chatrooms, bt no one bothered, not a single person. i ha also tried 2 advertise on yahoo answers, bt on 1 bothered 2 visit dat site. the site contains no porn/offensive, it has helpful links on individual investment planning. i also used multiple scrapper 2 scrap my 129 orkut friends, shockingly, no one bothered 2 visit the site! what should i do now, other than del it?
Getting traffic to your web address is much more of a challenge than one would think. By using google’s search engine, it almost cuts your time in half that you would normally spend not using it. The first priority that you want to accomplish is to submit your site to google and let their bot crawl your uniform resource locator. Then you want to go and submit to all the free major and minor directorys that you can. I submitted this website and it receives a little traffic from them, but like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.
When you add your url to the directory’s, make sure to look and find the category that best suits your business. I would say that if you were making your members money instead of a site that was selling products, it would be more of a place people would want to go. But I do agree that online shopping is a lot more convenient than going to the actual store. So as
i’m putting in my website address and filling out all the information they are asking for, I see near the bottom of the page that their asking for a reciprocal link. I didnt know the meaning of this word like maybe some of you reading this. I go to look it up and it means that they want a link back to their site in exchange for them putting your link on their site.
Then you want to go different places that advertises banners or your weblink. Some get lucky and get a lot of traffic, but it all depends on where, how much, and how many people is on these websites. rank and even more content is available for you to evaluate further. Going to forums that may involve the business you run can help get backlinks to your site. Backlinks are a good way to get some easy traffic and may even get you a few members.
There are many places that will sell you one way backlinks, but most of them are just trying make some easy money and not really concerned if your site gets taken care of or not, so be careful which ones you choose. Then there are suring sites, paid to click, paid to signup that you can advertise with. I have personally used these types of business’ to advertise and find them somewhat useful but reluctantly predictable.
I use google analytics to keep track of my traffic. Time spent on, how many pages per visit, how many page views it’s getting each day. I advertise the main page and the register page. Splash pages are a good form of letting people see your site to.
Using all of the social media sites is a real good way of letting people check out your weblink. I know internet advertising is all about traffic, the more
there is, the more you’ll get. It’s like going to a baseball game and no-ones there. So I say feel free to look around and stay awhile, if you stay long enough you just might find what your lookin for.

I have a Distribution company. I have a general website with each company and their titles listed on it. However I want to start promoting individual studios and using the traffic generated to try to generate revenues sending them to sites like vod.com. What is the better method for generating large amount of traffic and getting higher rankings in search engines. Should I make one large site with links between studios or should I have each studio with its own website with links between sites. This would result in a lot more incoming and outgoing links for each site but each site would be smaller than the one large one.
I understand what an Organic Search Engine is (that I’m technically using one right now) but, in Google Analytics, I have traffic sources coming from "google (organic)" and "yahoo (organic)". What exactly does that mean?

So currently i have a windows server with .asp web pages. My website is search engine optimised and indexed very well by google and more than 95% of my traffic is from google search.
But now due to some reason i have to change the server to linux server and i wont be able to run .asp pages on it.
I have manually designed and created my web pages and last year i tried using wordpress and the whole thing changed. My traffic and alexa rank dropped to lowest because all the indexed web page gave an page not found error. I changed back to my previous .asp pages and the traffic started rising.
So now if i use .php pages or any cms for that website, then how can i redirect all not found error pages to the home page? Is it something related to custom error pages?
Linux server has htaccess page and windows has web.config. I learned about web.config but not sure about how to do it in htaccess. Any suggestion how can i solve this server switch issue? I dont really want the traffic to drop.
I have a 1996 Volvo 850 GLT, while I am getting to a stop at a traffic light or a parking spot the engine dies. It does not do it every time but fairly often none the less. The problem has also occurred a few times when I am Idle at a traffic light and want to start going, I would press the gas pedal all the way and still no response from the engine.
Any ideas about fixing the problem are greatly appreciated.
P.S where can I find a fuel pressure regulator, the ones that come up with google search have and extra line, mine is just in and out. Thanks
Okay so every single time I go to google to search something traffic delivery site pops up.
and other various pop ups will come up when I’m on my computer.

My computer is running slow and I have a spyware thing and I ran the scan and i think the virus is still there :(

Google is a search engine, YA has informative Q and A’s…it was added to the search list for Google to help spread knowledge (and help Yahoo get traffic) why do people get nervous about that?

I just open an eBay store recently at http://stores.ebay.com/MyWellnessStore and the traffic still slow. I have place some items in the auction, and also write blogs to promote traffic. Besides I have also submit to all search engines and those free ads websites. What else can I do? Any good suggestion? Thanks.

How about the other big search engines?
From an SEO perspective, other than direct traffic and perhaps a bit of viral traffic, does maintaining and / or participating in yahoo groups help with search engine optimization?
I have my website and I plan to move toward premium services in a few weeks. In the mean time I am looking for an ad client that will place ad’s on my webpage while working as an Search Engine Optimization client to direct traffic through my website to promote their advertisements. This seems like an even trade for space and the traffic I need to promote my company. Do you know of any?

Assalamu Alaikum. I have started a blogsite for downloading islamic nasheeds for free at truenasheed.blogspot.com. So far I have added the albums of Dawud Wharnsby, Zain Bhikha and Native Deen and Insha Allah, I will keep adding. The only problem now is that how can I attract decent traffic? I mean only 2 or 3 guys have visited so far and I want traffic. I have done some Search Engine Optimization but NO RESULTS. What can I do? Please help me.(and please dont forget to pay a visit!)

I have to go to a search engine or remember the URL..guess I’ll save it since traffic was squelched by Draconian pols and slobbering love affair thrill-up-my-leg media in newspapers, TV, radio, movies,and cable shows. Media has Stockholm’s Syndrome or beaten wife syndrome or just scared Big Five Families will fire them for thinking outside of the PC box.
The site was recently started (just last week) and has been submitted to the Yahoo and Google search engines but it takes several weeks for them to be accepted. In the meantime does anyone know of quick ways to drive traffic to a site?

I am using Google Analytics and I wonder how it technically works to track unique users by just entering the Java-Script snippet at the bottom of each HTML-page. Also: Does Google Analytics somehow discount for bots and robots from e.g. search engines which should not be counted as "real traffic"?
