How do I get traffic to a blog on blogger?
I need people to find my blog via keywords but I can’t find the Webmaster tool on blogger to do this. Or the Sitemap tab that supposedly exists. And how to do feeds. And I don’t understand how I sign up my blog with search engines. Can someone explain this to a beginner as myself? I’m entering a blog contest partly judged on comments left on the page, so getting the traffic there is important.

Sorry to disappoint you, but getting traffic to a blog is an impossible task, for the simple reason that nobody but friends and familly are interested in YOUR blog, even if it had good contents!
If you reach 100 visitors a month, count yourself VERY lucky!
Ah, of course, if the blog was from M Jackson, THAT would be another thing!…

DON’T!!!
Any reciprocal link counts NEGATIVELY with search engines!!!
Try the search engine optimisation tips in this article:

It takes time to accumulate hits on blogger. Try and link to as many similar blogs you can and ask the authors to link to you. This can direct a lot of referral hits to your blog and vice versa. Add your blog to Stumbleupon.com and use some free search engine submission sites to get your pages indexed.
Good luck

BTW, edit the html code via blogger to add keyword in HTML head.
